Are you excited for a new year and a new decade? We will be in the 2020s in a few days. I am excited for creating and achieving new goals, as well as learning and growing over the year.
My main goal in 2020 is to TAKE ACTION! Sometimes I let my fears stop me from acting: whether it is worrying what people will think of me, or if I will make a mistake, or if I am not making the “right” choice, or if I will fail. I typically overthink an idea and then not act because of my fears. I have been more aware of this, and have been better at acting on an idea.
My theme for 2020 is, “Act. Adjust. Do it better.” I will take action and then adjust after reflecting on how it went. Then I will do it better the next time around. One thing I love about my husband, Maui, is that he quickly executes an idea. He does some research and then takes action. He just tries it out and then adjusts if he needs to. So he is a great example for me. Can you think of someone that you can use as a role model or an example to help you get to where you want to be?
Before the new year starts, it would be great for you to sit somewhere quiet and think about what you want to accomplish in the upcoming year. Below are several questions to reflect on for 2020. I’ve taken some time to answer the questions below for myself and will share some over the upcoming weeks. These questions will help you set a direction for yourself in the new year. And it is a good thing to help you get pointed in the right direction…so please take some time to think and write your answers to these questions.
You will know what you want to accomplish and can create goals, create a plan, and most importantly, create structure and TAKE ACTION! Take control of what you can. You have control of your action…the results will follow.
