I grew up learning that in order to lose weight, you need to exercise and eat healthy. It seemed easier to add exercise into your routine over eating healthy every meal. So this was something I believed in since I was young. However, the past few years I would try just exercising (and not consistently) and the weight would not come off. It got very discouraging.
When I started this health lifestyle program in March 2018, my coach told me to not exercise just yet. I just needed to eat a meal every 2 to 3 hours, eat 6 times in a day and drink at least 64 ounces of water. Let me tell you…I had a hard time believing I would lose weight without exercising. However, I followed my coach’s guidance. And within the first week, I lost the weight and inches. As weeks went by, I followed the food program and the weight continued to come off. Even my back fat was disappearing!
What I love about this program is it works as long as you follow the program. Just like any other program, you need to follow directions and be consistent. It also helps to have the support and guidance from your coach.
Now that I lost the extra pounds, I am working on the habit of adding in healthy motion into my life. A few of my goals this year are to surf at least once a week, run a 10K in December 2019, do the Makahiki Challenge in December 2019 (actually do each event like jumping, doing bars and what not), and work on lifting weights to tone my body and help me be a little bit stronger. We will see how it goes…and I will keep you posted my progress.
